An especially warm welcome to all new families to Linton Camp School and indeed to all families.  It was great to see all the children and hear about the ‘adventures’ they got up to over the Christmas break.

We started school with 130 on the roll, which is our second largest opening day roll for many, many years.

We welcome two new staff members.  Mary Macdonald is teaching in Room Two.  Mary is an experienced teacher and joins us from Ohakune School.  Damon Mudgway is a new Teacher Aide and is working mainly in Room Six.

We start the year with nineteen staff members, which is the largest number of staff we’ve had for some years:

  • Geoff Franks                      Principal

  • Warrick Price                      Deputy Principal, Teacher Room Six

  • Ella Diprose                        Junior Team Leader, Teacher Room Zero (staff room)

  • Hanna Bills                         Teacher Room One

  • Mary Macdonald                Teacher Room Two

  • Jamie Taylor                        Bilingual Teacher Room Three

  • Kiri Parkinson                      Teacher Room Four

  • Nigel Tongs                         Teacher Room Five

  • Anna James                       Teacher Rooms Four & Six

  • Adele Kent                         Teacher Special Needs Support

  • Catherine Buckingham      Teacher Reading Recovery

  • Rachel Holden                   Teacher Release Teacher

  • Lisa Buckley                       Office Manager

  • Lynette Blenkiron               Reading Tutor

  • Kirstin Wilson                     Teacher Aide Room One

  • Damon Mudgway               Teacher Aide Room Six

  • Steph Dykstra                    Teacher Aide Room Six

  • Aneeta Chandar                 Cleaner

  • John Norris                         Caretaker

Finally, learning at school is a partnership.  We value the knowledge you have about your children.  Please know that your child’s teacher is committed to working with you to ensure your children make the most of their time at school.

You are encouraged to contact teachers to chat about how things are going at any time.
