Matariki Celebration Evening
Next Tuesday 18 June we are holding our Matariki Celebration evening. It takes place in the Community Centre and starts at 6:00 pm. Every student is involved.
We celebrate Matariki in song, poem, dance and waiata. The students and teachers of our school have prepared a variety of presentations to share with our school community. These include our junior school students reciting poems, senior team speakers, our kapa haka group, orchestra, choir and dance club all presenting new items. It promises to be another memorable Linton Camp School occasion.
The celebration takes about an hour and is family friendly, although we do ask that parents keep their
preschoolers as quiet as possible and away from the students who are performing.
In the last few years we have held this celebration and it has been a great evening. Our students have been brilliant and the variety of performances has been delightful. Please do make every effort to join us in supporting our staff and students.
Students to attend in school uniform. All students are to arrive before 17:50hrs. And we ask that all whanau be seated and ready to start by 18:00hrs.
