MATARIKI CELEBRATION
MATARIKI CELEBRATION
We need your help and expertise!
We are coming together as a community for Matariki on Friday 21st July (4-6pm).
An idea that we are pursuing is a shared kai in the form of a hāngī. We would love our tamariki to experience the process and sharing of a hāngī. We are currently enquiring about the resources and expertise within our community so that we are able to make this happen and be successful.
We would love to hear from you if you have expertise to be able to guide us in this process or if you know of anyone who could support us with their time.
We are also searching for the resources required to support this process such as stones/railway irons, kete, hessian sacks, meat or wood.
If you are able to support us in any way, please get in contact with Sandi Pemberton, Chris McKeever or call into the school office before Friday 9th June so we can be organised.
