MATARIKI CELEBRATION - HĀNGĪ

Friday 21st July, 4-6pm.  

We are really excited about our Matariki celebration which is the first week back at school.

Former LCS principal Hamish Ruawai (now principal at PNINS) is returning to our kura to oversee putting down the hangi, and Aokautere School principal Jared Ratana has also offered to assist.

A huge thanks to those who have already offered - you'll hear from Chris or Sandi soon. We would love a few extra men to help us out.

We will ask every student at school to bring in a vegetable or two for the hāngī. This could be kumara, potatoes, pumpkin, carrots or cabbage. (Please don't send anything yet!) We will send a note home on the first day of next term with final info.
