School Starts on Monday 31 January 2022

Kia ora tatou, everyone!

I hope you've had a fabulous summer and are feeling relaxed and energised.

It's great to see Linton Camp families have begun making preparations for the start of school on Monday 31st January.

Here's a couple of points that will prove useful to help:

1]. It's summer, so please ensure there's a named uniform hat ready to go on day one. Name those too!

2]. Our class lists are mostly unchanged. However, if there is a shift needed, we'll be in touch as soon as possible. Any stationery alterations incurred as a result will be sorted for you by the school.

3]. Stationery: Our stationery suppliers have delivered all stationery orders made online by Monday 24th January. Orders made after this date will require parents to visit Office Product Depot in Featherston St (next to McDonalds) to pick up the pack in time for Monday 31st January.

4]. Brain-break: Children need to have a piece of fruit or veges they can snack on with minimal disruption for the learning programme. If students are responsible for packing their own brain-break, please monitor that the expectations are being met.

5]. Covid-19 management: We're at RED, so: - masks are required to be worn by students Year 4 and above (optional, not mandated). These are only mandated for indoor use. - drinking water - personal drink bottles will be needed (named) - regular handwashing will be facilitated - vaccination will be encouraged

Linton Camp is developing comprehensive plans to manage any and all impacts that Covid 19 might present this year!

6]. In case you weren't aware, Room 6 (Year 5 & 6) will be taught by Anna James and Erana Gill in Term 1. Mr Franks is on a sabbatical break, so I'll be manning the office in his absence during this time.

Regards,

Nigel.
