Staffing in Term Two 2021

Kia ora,

Teachers in Term Two

I am writing today to tell you about staffing in Term Two.

Warrick Price, our Deputy Principal, has won a sabbatical - one of only 50 given out to teachers nationally, each year - and will be away from school all of term two.

Anna James will teach Room Six four days each week with Kiri Parkinson teaching one day (usually Tuesday).

As many of you will know Hanna McKeever is leaving us to have a baby early in the new term. We have employed Joanne Walker to take our New Entrants for a year from the start of the term. Joanne is a local Palmerston North person and an experienced teacher having worked in NZ and overseas. Hanna will be on other duties around the school for the first three weeks of the term.

Nigel Tongs will be Acting Deputy Principal in Term Two with Sophie Penn releasing him Wednesdays and Thursdays while he undertakes the many leadership responsibilities that come with his role.

Mary Macdonald will be Acting Junior Team Leader in Term Two with Bronte Tongs releasing her as she undertakes her various roles.

Should you wish to discuss any matters relating to your child and their education or their interactions with others then Nigel, Mary or I would be more than happy to meet you and help out.
